Fr Paul reads from the Gospel of John (16: 29-33) in which Jesus says to his disciples, “I am not alone because the Father is with me.”
Fr Paul says in today’s Gospel reading the disciples claim to believe. The Lord states that the experience of sin will come into their lives when they flee and abandon him. Only when they return will they find peace and forgiveness. Fr Paul says the point of our Christian faith is not to become preoccupied with the presence of sin. It is critical that we take the next step to find peace and inner harmony.
