Fr Paul reads from the Gospel of Mark (10: 28-31) in which Jesus tells his disciples that no one who has left everything for him or the Gospel will go unrewarded but also says ‘Many who are first will be last and the last first’.

Fr Paul says this little story seems to be just a repeat of the previous teaching: that is – wealth makes entry to the kingdom of God almost impossible. Though of course for God all things are possible.

And so today Fr Paul invites us, for our Gospel reflection, to use those words; to spend time just thinking, in relation to our lives, that all things are possible for God; and ask for God’s help.
