The Risen Lord is met with doubt and disbelief

Today’s Gospel (Mark 16: 9-15) summarises the appearance of the Risen Jesus before Mary Magdalene, the two disciples on the road to Emmaus and the eleven disciples in the upper room.

On each occasion, the living presence of Jesus is met with doubt and disbelief, which is natural given that none of them has experienced anything like this before.

Fr Paul says this Gospel leaves us with a clear message… go and tell everyone the good news… and it sets the scene for tomorrow’s Gospel about the doubt of Thomas.

How can we share the good news that Jesus is alive?
